Hey everyone! Hope all you moms and grandmas had a great Mother's Day yesterday! Mine went pretty good. We had actually celebrated it more so the night before with my Dad and all the our kids meeting up at a pizza place for a get together. We had a good time and the kids brought me Mother's Day presents which I was very surprised about.

Then came Monday and back to the daily grind.

I just went out and got the mail and there was a letter from our good old government ( much sarcasam used when I say good)
It had to do with our Stimulus payment and how much we could expect to receive. Well go figure, everything they had been telling us from the beginning about the amounts we could expect have somehow along the line changed and we will be getting $600 less then what we expected. Now mind you, I'm very grateful to be getting any, but, when you tell a poor person we are giving you free money, they tend to start counting on it and looking ahead to what they can pay with it. My husband got hurt at work and we have an ongoing fight right now with the Bureau of Worker's Compensation, so because of his injury he has missed some work and we have fallen behind. Always something that happens when we think we are on the right track.
So now I will have to decide who is going to get what and who will have to continue to wait. Could the government ever do anything they say they are going to without all the if's and's and but's and oh wait that doesn't apply to you sort of things.
From what I can gather on their reasoning of us getting less then to be expected, we are too poor to be able to get the full refund we orignally thought we would get. GO FIGURE!

On a good note though today, I went and visited and old neighbor and a very good friend of mine, you all know her as River Rat on here. When we moved she went and rescued some of my plants and flowers from our old house and planted them at hers to save them for when I was ready to replant them. So today I stopped by to visit with her and she went out with her shovel and got some of my plants plus some of her own starters for me!!! The weather has been so cold and rainy I can't wait to get out tomorrow and replant everything. She's the best!
